TOURISM IN EXTREMADURA

01. Briefing

An extensive campaign to promote tourism in the region during autumn, conveying the allure of the region as an experience destination, based primarily on its autumn landscapes.

02. Solution

We decided to take advantage of the recent shooting of Game of Thrones in the region to show this “autonomous community” through the key settings used in the series. This was a way to turn a tourism campaign in an administrative region into an expanded experience for fans. Our campaign focused on displaying the locations of Los Barruecos, Trujillo and Cáceres from the perspective of their landscapes, yet also presenting the fictitious events that had taken place there.

The campaign was put out on the national and international spheres (Portugal and UK) and consists of graphics, 4 spots of 20” and 10” and 4 radio slots of the same length, as well as a digital media plan.

03. Results

The results are to become the administrative region that has grown most in tourism with 50% more foreign visitors..
